How can you live without Ikea? More crucially, how can you understand Fight Club?

Edited to add: Well, I checked and Ikea USA has an online store. Ikea USA also sells rather nice linen for 6.99 a metre.

Unfortunately, they don't sell the linen in their online store... Doh!

Hooker surround sound was pretty funny My mind boggles. Should I imagine ladies in skimpy clothing, or a gentleman with a toupee? Noe, if you make it to Germany I should be honoured to meet you. Sir Cadogan speaks mighty highly of you, and that is all the recommendation anyone might need.

And I think it's wonderful that Stonekeep took the plunge to make some pieces that were new for him...

Freiman wears a heavy tunic under his mail. It is the thickness of a blanket, and looks great. He doesn't squeak when we hit him either, so I guess it works.

It's partially obscured by his Queen's Champion tabard here, but you can get the idea:

Just a quick one - stretching before exercise feels right, and I do it too, but there is no evidence that it helps avoid injury.

Stretching afterwards, however, has proven beneficial results in terms of injury avoidance.

Just a little factoid that suprised me.

I saw it in the flesh, not on the flesh, sorry.

It needs to be strapped before Robyn can wear it. It looks like a good fit though, and the articulation worked spiffily after a bit of a bend. I suspect one half had been a tiny bit distorted in transit.

Stonekeep is a gent.

I connect single cop knees to cuisses just with three little tabs of leather, each about the size of a weasel's spleen. That and six rivets works fine.

Erm, there are three schools, not two.

1. Pole-axe = axe on a long stick

2. Poll-axe = axe where the back or "poll" of the axe is used

3. Poll-axe = axe used to hit or cut off people's heads (or "polls") qv "poll tax"

I suspect the three ideas are thoroughly entwined.
