OK, is there any way of acid etching rings once maile is finished? I have a coif that has turned an ugly grey color and leaves the aluminum oxide residue on everything it touches. Not good! OK, I'm looking for a lance or spear that can be taken down into two pieces (for ease of transport) about 5' long or so. Anyone know what style of liner to use? I was thinking a linen or canvas liner sewn to a leather browband. While I know this would work, how were they actually done?

I could use the Bretonnian Knights and archers. Possibly the whole box set as a small unit of lizard men could be cool.
I also don't know what it's worth though.
I know archers are dirt cheap on E-bay- I got a unit of 50 for $7.50 + shipping. The knights aren't nearly so cheap though.

What I find most interesting about this picture is the cleated horse shoes. Don't let that horse step on you!
