40lbs? Holy poop. That would double the weight of my kit to a full 80lbs or so of armour. Lou, thanks for making a lot of people around here happy. I'm glad to see rivetted maille getting more popular. So far I've seen two of your shirts and the fighters who have them like them. (of course they stil...

8-in-1 is way too heavy and looses a lot of flexibility...

I'll stick with my 4-in-1. =)

Complete Collection of Samurai souce books...

I have a HUGE collection of Samurai & Nihon-To (Japanese swords) source books, soft and hardcovered. Since my Japanese kit is coming along so slowly, I'm going to put it on hold for now till I can start doing armour on my own (and NO I am NOT selling my Mykaru kabutos) so that I can finish my 1500 A...

If you find anyone lemme know.

Mykaru, who is currently in Japan, does make Kabuto (I have one, with a 2nd on the way). But I don't know if he does anything else in japanese armour. It's not an easy thing to find.

One of the guys here makes (made) an GREAT okegawa dou.

Wisby #24, CoP, Laminar or early Brig?

I've slowly been digesting the Wisby book, and had a question, is Wisby #24 considered a CoP, Laminar or an early Brig?

I don't see the number of holes needed to lace it all together like laminar, but I'm not sure overall.

Was a brig a develeopment of a CoP? It sure looks like it to me.

PS: Heard about the big quake. Are you OK?

You are not going to find much in that price range. Trust me I tried.

Yet another person recommending Steve's stuff from Forth Armoury.

It's look is great. It's durability fantastic, and it's damn close to being authentic. It is also rather light (I think 17-18 lbs).

I can only imagine T-Bob swinging around a pole weapon.

Are you talking about the stainless steel legs? If so, WOW. I got a look at them this past weekend. Great job.

John,

I'm not really sure as to what is going on yet. I'd be more than happy to fight for anyone who will have me. Nyven did mention he wouldn't mind me fighting with him. I may not be that much of a fighter yet, but I'm going to do the best I can to hold whatever line I have to.

At this time the Corrazina is no longer available. It's too rare of a piece of SCA legal armour for me to sell and it still goes well with the rest of my kit.
