Looking for someone to hammer me out a hundskull visor only.

I've been unable to sell my bascinet. I think mostly due to the VERY rough visor on it now. I think the bascinet is in great shape, so I'm going to try to see if anyone can make me just a visor and hinges for the helm. I would send the helm out to you of course. It's something that does not have to ...

You know I honestly cannot think of anyone else who does finger gauntlets with bucklers...

If these are Sasuke's work, Thaddeus, you best pick em up. Hopefully they will fit you. If they don't I'll buy em from you. Can never hurt to have an extra pair.

You know they may be brig not splinted... but I am not even close to having enough knowledge to say anything more.

Then again, I don't know if such a thing as brig arms and legs existed...

Could it just be decorative?

Oh I will most assuredly be there. And by then the kit will be 100% done.

Now I just need to learn to fight better, and hopefully find a good household.

Klaus, yeah I just cut the leather for my arms. I am going to put some small grommets on it, I know it's not 100% historically accurate, but it will give me a little longer life on the leather. The only problem is I have no way of rivetting in my apartment, so I hadda use Chicago rivets for now. The...

Gus Trim swords are great (http://www.allsaintsblades.com), as are Tinker blades. Count on paying about $340-$500 of one of them. Gus offers stuff from 11th Century to late 15th Century blades, and they are VERY well made.

Looking for a good source of armour points

As my new pourpoint by Flonzy will be done shortly, I'm now in the need of armour points to attach my spaulders, arms and legs. Does anyone have a good source for armour points? I know Historic Enterprises carries some points, but they don't look like they are sturdy enough to handle pointing armour...

yes, very shortly I will. I'm still working on/missing a couple of things that are very important to the kit as a whole (mostly the pourpoint, but I also need to refit the matching gorget to the corrazina). I also need to take some time to fix the sleeve length on my haubergeon, and let me tell you,...

I'm not 100% sure what he used, but I think it is all mostly 16 gu mild steel. I still have to attach arming leathers to to top of the rebrace before doing much more with the arms. You guys really should see the quality in the wrist rolls on the vambracers. The way CLANG cut the cuffs and stopped th...

My new arms!

Got my CLANG arms on Saturday. That means my kit is now done for now (I do have a Churburg 15 breastplate being done by Mad Matt that I will use when fighting in hot weather that he is still finishing...). I thought I would steal some of CLANG's bandwidth and post some images of them. I'm just waiti...

Halvgrim,

Damn good point. My appologies for not taking that into consideration! Luckily my kit is late 14th century French/Italian so Steve's wedges fit my period quite well (not to be confused with wedgies)...

Both the round head rivets and the V wedge rivets are authentic.

I think it mostly depends on what part of the world you are from.

luciusj There is a HUGE difference between fighting with live steel and "some ratan". Sometimes getting hit on the fingers is very simply a blow that misses and falls on your hands. I had much the same happen a few weeks ago, but it was the cuff of these very gauntlets. Put a nice 2" deep bend in th...

I think I may take this off your hands for my Pas helm.

I need to confirm my cash situation, and of course see if it fits, but damn that will go with my kit very well.

Not to mention I could brag about having not one but TWO WMA helms... =)

I grabbed this right off of Sasuke's site.
These are the exact gauntlets & bucklers I now own and fight in.

Think of a sheild boss, only not dished so deep.

I have a GREAT pair of hourglass 14th century finger gauntlets. When fighting great weapon, I just put on the finger bucklers which totally cover my fingers without intefering with my grip.
