Most excellent Steve! My an amazing coincidence, on Saturday I re-authorized for the first time in 5 years as well! And then I proceeded to loose every match I fought in... Amazing thing... everyone I fought was belted... and usually squired to some of the best Knights in the East Kingdom... it was ...

I need a bargrill for my bascinet... badly

OK so today I really had the first chance to fight in my Wildarmoury bascient. Its sexy, and all that, but fighting SCA style... well that just isn't happening. No visibility. I need to have someone make me a bar grill for my helm. I don't really want to deal with Maxim as it will take weeks to get ...

Ordered boots from them. Had them in 4 days from the time I ordered.
Ordered Talhoffer Rubber Hammer Head (SCA) and two thrusting tips from them. Had them in three days from the time I ordered.

I have not had an issue with them. My last order was about three weeks ago.

Maybe because I've been doing martial arts for so long, I really don't get much of an adrenaline rush. Sure, I love the heck out of heavy, but I've just never gotten a rush from it. Well thats not quite true... the first mass melee I was in that had combat archery made my heart race a bit. Especiall...

A couple of recommendations. I've done business with both Wild Armory (Maxim) and Anton over at Hammer Breaker. I've had no issues with any of Maxim's helms (owned two), or any of Anton's armour (more coming from him by the end of March for me!) Maxim's Salet: http://wildarmoury.com/images/Resize%20...

I'm more concerned about Living History. I'm aware of the Oakeshott typology, but he tends to be rather general when it comes to exact timeframes. If you want more detail than that then I'd suggest asking over at myArmoury. Also, if you're interested in doing steel combat are you aware that I teach...

I've only been accused of being a rhino once. And it was purely due to my kit. I'm a huge fan of accurate, functional armour. I got hit in the top of my leg, and honestly didn't even know it. I kept fighting (I fight with pole weapons the red belt I was fighting was sword and board) and again he hit...

I checked up on this M14/M1A.

This is one of the best from China you could get. Most milspec parts will actually work with this rifle with no issues. The same couldn't be said with other M14/M1A clones from China.

Its well worth what Randy is asking for it.

There is nothing wrong with these at all, they are just WAY too basic for me and are more sport armour than historical.

Swords of the late 14th century

Since my arm, shoulder and elbow are mostly better, I'm going to get more and more into the sword and board in fighting vs. the typical two handed stuff I've done for years.

What is the typical sword in use in the very late 14th century in Burgundy?

Looks like they are offering flat ring wedge rivetted stuff. Both four in one all rivetted and four in one with the center ring solid. Prices seem to be very good on the CAS Iberia site, and those tend to be 10-20% higher than retail. 670 bucks retail for a 60" Chest, Knee Length, Full Sleeve h...

Yes, I thought they all were? (M14's, that is?)

You can get them in .308, and .30-30 as well but you really have to look for the other calibers. Most of them are custom jobs.
