It should be pretty close to a hauberk for the kit your using. Soak it in vinegar overnight if its galv, that'll strip it right off however galvy maille tends to be weak as butter so dont be surprised if it doesnt hold up well to combat. Indeed they did. A lot of VERY cool names, just seaching in my 5 year timeframe (1375-1380), if I ever wanted to change from my Burgundian persona to an English persona, I'd be all set!

Mostly you will find Portugese stylized Japanese armour (meaning mid 16th century styles).
