Bump up for all those fine folks returning from Pennsic. I know some of you out there were yelling at your leg armour for failing you, or because they don't fit as well as they used to. Why argue with them. Give your old stuff to your squire or newbie in your unit and pick up these! All your problem...

I agree with Chef and Jonathon.

It took me a about a month to save up for my hauberk, and I'm glad I did.

Does it make things heavier? Of course it does, but if its worn the right way, it doesn't much matter. My 14th century transitional set just wouldn't look right without it.

No polish! Wax it to protect it, but the "lived in" look is much better than a shiney suit in my opinion.

Late 14th Century Armour pointing.

Couple of questions regarding how armour was pointed to the gambeson/etc...

Since you are wearing chain over your jupon/gambeson/arming coat etc... are the points pulled thru the chain armour or are the points attached to the chain itself with regards to the spaulders/pauldrons and arm.

Attaching gloves to finger gauntlets

I've finally got a decent set of finger gauntlets: http://wildarmoury.com/images/Resize%20of%20DSCF4033.jpg What's the best way to install a pair of gloves in said gauntlets. I was thinking of going with a pair of light weight street hockey goves that have the HD foam on the tops of the fingers. htt...

Wildarmoury (Maxim) leg armour for sale *SOLD*

OK, I messed up. The leg armour I thought would fit me... doesn't. Since it can't easily fix that, I'm going to put this brand new set of 14th century legs with Churburg knee cops up for sale. THey are about 2"-4" too long for me, so you should be at least 5'10-6'2" for them to fit yo...

Re: srry but...

Real Japanese chain is 9-1rings not 6-1rings still nice peice though Um, no, there were several versions of japanese chain, including and not limited to 4 in 1, 6 in 1, 8 in 2, and others. The most common used were so gusari (4 in 1) and hana gusari (6-in-1) patterns. 9 in 1? Never heard of it and ...

Japanese chain vest for sale *SOLD*

Butted maille. In the Japanese style (6-in-1), called asa no ha gusari. Large rings are 1/2" OD, smaller rings are 1/4" OD. Brass rings used on the outter arm and lower torso to finish it off. Wire used is galvanized. Its very well made. I had it orginally as a pull over vest, but split it...

I've had this one in the closet for a LONG time. I had prepared to make a liner for it but never got around to it for various reasons. I cannot say its a perfect helm, but its definately not one of those Indian or Chinese imports. The thickness of the steel is a little less than 1/8" to the bes...
