What type of fur would be used for felt hats in the 14th century? I am sure wool was the most common, but were other exotic furs used as well?

Re: Taking orders for Greek Linothorax's
He has a couple of guys in my barony with these linos, and we beat them up pretty good(the linos not his guys). The take a beating, protect well and still look good. If I wanted a greek kit I would totally have Acastus make me one.

Tourney fencing(erics)
I would like to build a wooden fence to replace my Baronial eric(could someone educate me on the proper period term) ropes. So if anyone has some cool ones that they have made or period examples that would be awesome. Preferably without staking to the ground, but you do what you can.

I talked to the autocrats and next years autocrats, and every problem that was mentioned they had a solution. If you have a complaint send an email to the autocrats. I bet they either already have a plan to fix it or would like to know any outstanding issues. As for the delay to the fighting, rapier...

Honestly, only a gambeson? Any upgrade from just a gambeson will give you much better protection. Check your time period, body armor was pretty common in just about every time period. Don't go from nothing to a tank.

Re: How wrong is this? (Heraldry, dumb)
I have a lady in my barony who wears a linen dress with strawberries on it, and we have plenty of dukes and duchesses who just think it is a nice dress. But you might live in an area with people a bit more stuffy than that.

Also Atenveldt will have numbers for equestrian if we look at those number in 2013. Some wonderful equestrian people have stepped up to help that program, in multiple kingdoms.

Re: Kingdom Tallies and comparisons
The Atenveldt one is not incorrect, we had no official expiration date on our old authorizations. It was merely updating the database. We are still catching up with many of the occasional warriors. Is we do this again for 2013 in Atenveldt we should see another significant increase.

Even Southern Crusades in Atenveldt (Veterans day weekend) has hotels that are that close. Fun war come on out.

Signet Ring for a Barony
I would like a signet ring for my barony so we can do some cool sealed scrolls and missives. Anyone have a tutorial on usage and look (preferably 14th cent)? I know little on seals and would like to get this process started. Zhigmun' (this should go to the heraldry) http://www.atenveldt.org/Portals/...

it might not be big enough for what you want, but the 50 dollar deposit on kegs it is usually worth it to keep the keg.
