woohoo helm arrived
it will take a couple days to get padded and set up
but its fits well

you are throwing your lead off flat snap into the guard so your lead off is the same every time(well not everytime but a lot) and useless against opponents that know you if your shield is against your opponents body then it isnt protecting you its protecting him whats with all the hugging you would ...

i see those examples dating to 1620, but can you find any earlier?

how close is you helm to your face?
some kingdoms get a little finicky about having it very close
but i dont have a problem with my oculars
my helm is almost resting on my nose
that may help
