They say "New and used". That's pretty vague to me. They also say good condition but since clecos get worn and a little wobly with time (I mean heavy use of course), I would be carefull. If you just need 3/16 just buy them new.

I bought mines here:

ROC, don't forget that the 2 smaller sizes are not good for armour work. And clecos are not that expensive. Don't pay too much.

Sorry, Ambrogio, galvy was what I meant. I will go with a mix of both then, PVC mainly and Glavy for the spots where I am worried about the heat.

Thanks guys.

Shop Ventilation Question?

I am figuring out the dust collection system for my shop and I was wondering if PVC is ok. I mean, around welder, grinder and belt sander, will it melt with time. Should I go with aluminum instead?

Thanks for your help.

Geoffroy, Sorry, I missed your question. I have a Miller 110V Mig welder and use gas an AR/Co2 mix. The main reason I asked is that I saw a weld on a helmet posted here, like I said before, and it looked ugly to me. Me that has done maybe 30 minutes welding total so far. I am not saying the welds I ...

Maeryk, I know that penetration is the first criteria. And I am practicing. But the welders seem to take pride in a "good looking" weld also. As long as I am learning to weld might as well try and do the best I can. Dont want to be all happy with my welding skills and find out it is still sub par. T...

How does a good weld is supposed to look?

This comes from seing the inside of a helm posted somewhere here. No offense intended but the inside weld doesn't look that good. I am very new to welding and want to know what to shoot for.

Again, this weld may be perfectly correct? Just wondering.
