How about if you take out the shaping of the lames which is easy to do and also the driling of holes in the metal and holes in the straps. Also the assembly of the buckles. Basically cutting only?

Alienor, thanks for the links.

My main purpose is to build a reference for us "Frenchies", that have mostly learned about armour and the building of it in English, to be able to communicate better in French.

Thanks again and I'll be sure to send you all the info that I come across.

T-Bob, I thought that it was because the darker dye, black at least, was more "corrosive" and damaged the cloth with time. Thus only the wealthier would use it.

Just use the Postal Code they use as an example below the box. That will get you in the site. After that just search for the snips.

Thanks for including me Stephen but I am far from a handsome devil. In fact, I dont think any marks will actually make a difference.

And I guess you must be sending Sandra secret thoughts cause she already smacks me around quite a bit. ;)

Can't wait to see your full kit.

Patern making is important but not as important as hammer skill. Spend the time working on the later instead of a cad program. A pen and paper is more than sufficient for the task. It is only a guess but I doubt that Mac uses Autocad.;)

Durame, Thanks for the info. I think I still want to build mine. I don’t want to spend that much money on something that I know I will want to replace pretty soon. Not that it looks like a bad sander but ¼ HP is not much.

Still, thanks again for letting us know how about it.

Yes, it is a hose clamp type of band, to keep the stump from splitting. Which it doesnt do very well.;)

I much prefer the laminated bench as a base.
