Yes but it will take longer, Ampere are important here, more than volts.
Volts just "decide" if the metal (or which metal) migrate, 12 volts are more than enough for most metals. Ampere define the intensity of such migration, more Ampere, faster etching... more danger.. be careful.

You should consider to buy some chinese machines and start a business with nails, bolts, rivets and so on.

I suppose for the same reason where do you live there aren't scrapyards where you can find such things for free :? I found a lot of rivets in scrapyard, they were just rusted.

Maybe your setup was not ideal for sheetworking. I can turn 1,5mm mild steel of a nice orange with a stupid weed burner of 50mm diameter and some firebricks to back the metal, I get a darker orange/ reddish color on 2mm, is not a lot, but the metal is much softer than cold anyway. Venturi burner and...

When we talk of armour we can't talk simply of the piece of metal or leather or even plastic that make the outer shell, we must talk of the whole assembly. Uhm nothing that you can't see on his online catalogue. m The swords in general have not a high level finish on them Hilt and pommels could be quite rough, hilts are hot forged and show it clearly. They are cheap and sturdy, usually properly balanced, they don't dent so easily and don't dent deeply....

I own the Trajan Column, I can make a special AA members price! I'll trade the Brooklyn Bridge for it, I'm not currently using it. I think it's a good exchange! I will sell all that unused metal to the scrapyard and have it recycled in anvils, hammers, stakes and metal sheets for armouring.
