Probably not so much. I can think that 100$ maybe on the high side (but if... you know what i can clo...

I think not because joining 2 different metal speed up corrosion, and because copper is too soft: they hitted their head with a bit more force than SCA standards  , so why not spend a bit more on iron rivets?

The relative high price of armour (high because as someone stated, you can live without it, so it's a luxury good) bring many of us to say "i can't afford one, i will make my own". Many gave up and bought some crap, Some turn out to be good armourers and got into business other learned that it was n...

If you are familiar with leather working (patterning cutting and sewing) a brigandine can be in your reach, you can make it of relatively thin metal if it is not intended for particular kind of combat. Then you need to choose a "scheme" of the plates, if you go for bigger plate you have a coat of pl...

In a easier way to understand, i could say that for that money (100USD) you can buy 1 or 2 good books each year, or have access to much more information of high reliability. Yes, in the end of the year your shelf will be almost empty, but probably you can learn a lot more and in a easier way. I gave...

I use a powershear too, it's invaluable, i've chosen it instead of the nibbler mainly because i did'nt want to clean all the chips from the shops every time, but the nibbler is very useful as you can trim or cut piece of metal even if it's bent, while a shear cut only flat sheets. It's a hard choice...
