Stephen has this at $250. Do I hear $255?
I've gotten some things straightened out, on my end, so PayPal will now also be accepted for payment on this.

No... but I have special 'hammers' for these cases. Basicly use either my 2" or 1" ball stakes as hammers. The 1" was actualy built specificly for this, the stake part of it is only like 8" long, #5 rebar. I smothed some, but did not grind the ridges off the rebar. Gives me a better grip. You can ei...

Ok.. disclaimer.... I'm not bashing fantasy armor or the making of it. I own several 12 sided dice. I'm asking a question. Ok... maybe I'm bashing a little bit, but only one aspect of it that seems stupid to me. In my mind it's probably the result of John Blanche, and Games Workshop, but WTF is up w...

Pounding out 1/4" plate into dishing forms works pretty well. I have 3 such forms now. I make them thusly, Buy 1/4 inch plate, 2 peices big enough for your bowl. use 1 peice for a base I like mine 8" square. If you are lucky and can find a peice of big ol 7-8" thick wall black pipe, use that. If not...

Depends on how closely you live. They have a lifetime return policy on all tools, so if the store is nearby and you don't mind stopping by there once in a while you could buy any of their hand tools. Hammers like halberds said. They sell them real cheap, especialy if you get the wood handled ones. I prefer the wood handles over fiberglass, but that's me. The prices are right, so I never feel guilty about customizing them. The beverly knock off used to be more of a hit or miss item. You got one t...

Medieval swords in tombs have been removed from their scabbards to reveal sections of surviving metal that was mirror-bright. If you can polish a sword this way, you can do the same to armour. This obsession with the satin finish as *the* authentic finish is pure bullshit. I don't buy it. Now, does...

Will be working on one of these soon with a friend. Probably going 18 gauge stainless. 18 gauge is likely plenty mild or stainless. We're doing stainless for rust prevention more than anything. What we will likely be doing that not anyone else seems to do, is folding the edges over. This in my exper...

Product review: Riveted aluminum coif from Von Sussen Enterp
Recently I purchased a riveted aluminum coif from Von Sussen Enterprises, through one of their e-bay auctions. This is my review of the product. Von Sussen Enterprises sells these through e-bay auctions as well as through their e-bay store. I am hesitant to post this, because I feel that it will not...

Re: Stuff i have been making - lots of pic's \ my experience
I pulled out my finger and now spend most of my nights and weekends giving things a go. There is no such thing as...

I love mine.... it's sweet. The little scotchbriteys you have in the pic are just awesome for finish work. They get into nooks and craneys pretty darn well. They also come in 3 inch size. Looks very good. I personaly would think that a lot of the rivets might look better if they were replaced with countersunk/blind rivets. Namely those around the face opening for the bar work, and perhaps those that join the lower part of the straps. Also, it does not look like the lower face opening...
