Hugo Pheifer. Big fluted cool crusader helmet thing.

Hi. Remember me? No? Yeah... don't blame ya. Presenting the best helmet I've made this year! If you have to ask, don't bother, the joke's not that funny. It is easier to 'turn' your shank down square.

It does mean you have to make the hole for it square with needle files, but that's not hard....

and look at it this way... then your pin won't spin, and you don't have to worry about it losing alighnment with your other stuff.

Pack tight. Crap bouncing around inside your box is more damaging than if your box bounces around. Don't forget if you're using peanuts or whatever they can settle. Pack tight. Your box should be slightly bulging when it leaves you. I shipped a lot of little golfers and firemen for Michael Garman wh...

How much padding, and where is it in those pictures?

Thing is, it's always been my preference to pad my cheek bones and jaw to keep a helmet off my face, rather than rely on a chincup and suspension.

Can you shed some padding in the back side to make room for some up front?

Ace hardware store brand semi-gloss black.

cheap, not nearly as toxic as chemical bluing, not nearly as toxic as chemical bluing, much easier to put on and control than heat bluing, and easy to touch up.

I was under the understanding that Windrose bought them out. That would pre-date windrose then, and explain the similarities in appearance. But I was also under the impression that Mandrake stuff had marks/tags.

I used thair satin black on a couple. Not samurai stuff.

Seems to hold up ok, and going with the "cheaper is better, because it WILL need touch up" theory, this fits the bill.
