Still plenty of time to get this to you so you can pad it, strap it, and field test it a couple times before Estrella. Just imagine how cool it would be to have a new helmet to debut in front of all your inter-kingdom friends down there? No really... *jedi mind trick wave* You want this helmet. I'll...

I assume you know... but the 'starter box' for 40K has marines and Orks, and it is a great deal for the price. Buy a box or two, and then either trade or sell the marines. This worked out good for me when the Lizardman/Bretonian boxed set came out. Put an add up in the game shop. Met the guy that a...

Matt there's gaunts that work that way in 14th century. Just started researching a suit for myself and found them in the wisby book. I don't recall seing any, but that doesn't mean that there aren't some. ALL of the stuff that I've payed attention to are either the hourglass style, that have NO wri...

Honesty follows... read with flame proof undies, stout heart, and know that I mean the best when I express what is my opinion, and may not at all be fact. How about neither? I wouldn't call them utter shite, but there's room for improvement. There are a couple things that I dislike. I don't like how...

Ones like you have going there? Not that I've ever seen. But that doesn't really mean a lot.
Sasha_Khan called it right on the saw. Have fun with that, they're very cool, and very useful.

Re: Dishing Fish and Fishtail Fans
Anyone have any ideas about how I can cut out the round thing that sticks down behind the mouth? I would want a clean cut and am not sure if I can do it with my torch. Jewelers saw. I got mine a few years back on e-bay for like $18 and it came with 6 gross of blades. If you can draw it with a .7mm ...

Is there a huge difference between the clear acrylic leather finish and the floor wax? Good point actually. Does it matter what brand of acrylic floor polish you use? I imagine it's just the acrylic component in a carrier liquid, no matter where you buy it from. I dunno. I don't intend to use it fo...

Connor, or Hoe, depending. He has two.. wait.. three skinny blonde squires. I meant to get ahold of you about a helm. Connor. I don't think he hardened his at all. A lot of what he liked, and what other people that he made stuff for was that it was still somewhat pliable. I don't remember it ever g...

Then you showed up to defend your work. But, instead of puffing up your chest and stomping your feet in protest of our unsolicited ire and vitrol, you sat down and listened. Then put it to work. I kinda remember it differently... I remember some chest puffing. I ain't gonna say I didn't "poke ...

The pattern Darvis has in the archive here has some nifty scaloppy bits where the seam is too. I might revise and tey again. This one fits pretty good for SCA use. The more I try it on and play with it though the more I see where it both needs, and I think I want less flare on the back. I should pro...

Too flaired. Almost everywhere. All of these things are a little subtle, but the general idea seems to be that the profile of the flair at the side is pretty flat (not sticking out) and the flair at the back of the elbow is either straight across or slightly bent in, not bent out. So... if I'm unde...

My favorite this is that he mailed it to me wrapped in bubble wrap to protect the delicate hunk of metal that it is. Love it! Really.... it probably did more to protect the box from the contents. The box being somewhat important as it's the part that has the destination information printed on it. S...

The floor polish doesn't really harden the leather. The floor polish soaks into the leather, and gets hard on it's own. Left out to dry, it would get hard without the leather. So it should work on veg tan leather, or chrome tan leather, or carpet (you'll not that the living room rug is NOT the place...

The cleanliness of your bargrill is excellent. Especially so where it meets the cheek plates. Great attention to detail. Thanks. Little bit of careful grinding goes a long way. It's the end of a decade. I guess... it always is depending on where you start measuring from. Finished this today. Best present EVER! So I have this friend. Apparently earlier in life he used to do white smithing as a hobby. Life sometimes works against us, so he hasn't had time/motivation/etc. for a while now.
