More along the line of what was terribly important for me 12/13 years ago seems less important now. I completely dropped doing things that were at one time important to me to immerse myself in the SCA. I have begun to revisit these things and have realized how much I missed them. I set goals and me...

I used to have a friend that worked at a blue-print shop. I still have the friend, but he doesn't work there any more. They ditched a crap load of old machines. The machines had rollers. The rollers were all about 4 feet long, and various bar stock ranging from 3/8" up to 1". Plus 3 length...

Just to clarify, in case it's not obvious, the measurements being given are HEAD size, not the helmet itself. The inside of your helmet should be in the 28"-30" range in most cases at the brow line. The simplest advice anyone has ever given on custom sizing for SCA gear came from Johanes a...

Matt, You making the trip down for Estrella? The odds are something like 1 in 195,249,054. Coincidentaly, those numbers look very similar to the odds of hitting the powerball jackpot, so... not good. But I would surely bring a special 12 pack just for visiting the Windrose booth if I did. Are yous ...

When you chose to go with spring steel, what you are really getting is lighter weight for the same strength. Or something much stronger at the same weight. But... that gets into the realm of silliness. One of the advantages that you may encounter in spring steel with finger gauntlets is that if thi...
