I started playing when unlimted edition and revised eddition and Ice age was out. My favotite deck had very little land actually. It was mostly mana cratures, zuron orbs, black vice, howling mines, mana barbs, powersurge, and some burn spells (lighting bolt, fireball, ect) the lands were forests and ...

Hmmmmmmm.................. However these are not my great joys when it comes to fighting. That is teaching others to fight. To see the light go on and see things work for a fighter is the best feeling. To mold and pass on my limited knowledge is probably as big a drive as any I have these days. Veb...

WOW thats a broad topic! MELEE: I really am not too fond of giant open field battles. Not my thing, Short Fat guys dont run well. Bridge battles, Gate Battles, Airbourne assult on the fort I like. These scenarios I can make my presence felt and make a difference. Guarding the fort & woods battles a...

It was an awesomely well fought and clean list. Several locals did very well in the lists. Lord Jon the Tall was taken out in the last part of the list by Sir Rashid ibn Hillal former Baron of Small Grey Bear. Also fighting from Small Grey bear was Lord Cohair O'Dunn. THL Martin and Baron Brandr bot...

Re: Greatsword vs. Polearm
Greetings, ok, could use a few tips here. First off, I love greatsword, it is probably my favorite form. I use a fairly long one as well, so generally I have range on people. But...for a couple practices now I have been having trouble against one person in particular when he fights with pole. He ha...

m This image looks like it comes from Stone's Glossary. Note that one of the madu has 'gold inlay' which makes it unlikely to be a beggar's weapon. There is no indication of date. Very enlighting. I had no idea you could find them with this much detail. It still does not place the weapon in the sca ...

Actually I choose neither. I would want neither handed to me. I gain growth and understanding by making my armour. I gain the same from fighting in it. I would be sacraficing alot to have one be great and the other ho-hum. I enjoy getting better at fighting, besting my opponent, and teaching what I ...

Michael Ekelmann that article says its a reproduction and the original example is lost. That brings to mind questions of its validity. Not trying to be an ass but this kit http://www.jaffalegions.com/images/JaffaSoldier.jpg is as valid an example as that then. Also even if it is 100% correct it stil...

Thats funny Gavin. I see nothing wrong with a weapon done in jest for that purpose as long it doesnt become a regular thing. I would love to do a set of darth vader armour and a light saber to bring out once or twice a year. I've also been know to dress up as a leprecon on St Patricks day. As far as...

Will someone please explain to me how a big Q-tip looks any more like a glaive/naginata/yari than an unpadded version? Eric It doesnt but at least one can see where the striking service is easily. But with the quailty heads on the market today there is no reason to make a q tip head. Even without o...

Animal I am very well aware of where you stand as you have posted your opinion on here quite often on this subject. I have seen the pics of your kit and it does look very nice. I also applaude the effort you make to outfit your dogs in a fine manner. I still believe that Madu's are cheesy though. An...

Lets face it, madus have a horrendious rep because they are a bitch to fight against in the hands of a halfway proficient person. I disagree for the fact that 1st of all they are an anomoly. No other weapon has a shield attached to it nor does any other single handed weapon have a 2 thrusting tips....

Actually, no I haven't. Any unusual weapon has likely been brought out because the owner/maker thought it would be fun and to me THAT is the spirit of the day, to have fun. As long as it is safe, well made and not of 'Klingon' origin, who cares? As far as I am concerned the whole purpose of arming ...
