Ive done the same to wood. Use 2 parts glue to 1 part water. Give it 24hrs to dry. Once that is done coat with acrylic paint. The paint will help waterproof the shield. The Glue makes a nice gesso and holds up real well. Its add no apreciable weight once dry so paint the glue on owenlly.... I mean l...

If you want to keep your kit mostly as is your best bet is to reinforce your fighting tunic & point them to that. I would recomend a nice Gambeson & CoP though.

I use 2 layers of HEMP canvas and it works fine. I rivets mine with roofing nails and I do not use washers. I have had no problems with it pulling through. The more rivets the better.

Your grace it may also be different in different kingdoms, Per the Meridian Marshals Handbook Section VI Part A Item 3: "A touch to the face with a thrusting tip is a killing blow. A slash to the face must be (at minimum) almost, but not quite, as hard as a good blow to any other part of the head or...

Or they could actually read the conventions of combat posted in those lil booklets handed out at Troll at Gulf Wars and Pensic as well as i assume Estrella. They tell you what the rules are in there before you even get through the door. There should be no confusion. Ah but that would require fighte...

It seemed a bit stiff. But in all fairness the kong did also till I cut a hole in it. If you turn it upside down yes it looks better. Cut off the resiviour tip and it'd look even better still. Really there is no telling how it will perform till you make one.

No concerns about your welding skills. Looks like the welds along with the dreaded brass rivets held. BTW, how in the heck do you run over a helm? Believe me its not hard. Almost NO barrel helms worn today. Almost all barred bascinets or Spangenhelms. Barrel helms were once the most common, easiest-made helm. Probably a rule-driven evolution. Didn't match the rest of the gear anyway. The reason many dont wear barrel helms (or salt shakers) is that they dont glance bl...

You may just need the padding and mail. I where padded chausses with only knee cops. They are most effective. You just need to make them with the shell and 6 layers of cotton battting.
