John, Edward is right you are a great man with outstanding business ethics. Not many would have noticed the problem with the chapter and few would have cared. But you did. You have sent out new copies at your own expense and threw in a lovely gift also. Good men can and will make mistakes and have m...

One of the problems we have currently is that we expect everything to be perfect. Some many things now adays is made by computerized machines that can turn out the same product ad infinitum. Something hand made is going to have some flaws. It all will depend on who made and what price range you paid...

Murdock, that is a coal shovel. Little bit heavier on the steel than your every day snow shovel. I have to agree that the penetration on that shot would not have done much if any damage. As far as the first set of pics, I really do wonder what kind of steel they used. Looks like some really cheap st...

Well the one I left is the drawer. You can always pull it out and measure. Don't know about you but poster board is cheap compared to steel. Not to mention it easier to cut out. Nope not changing the spelling, I guess I have got used to you and others spelling it wrong. Granted you get a lot closer ...

And of course Mike makes me double check myself. I was off a ounce. Heavy Leather: stiff, oak-tanned leather at least 1/8 inch (3.2mm) thick. Often referred to as belt leather or 11oz. leather. Still I have to agree with Mike it seems a little on the light side to me. But I am sure those that made t...

Cet is right the first person I would be asking is Sir Jean Paul de Sens. He is the current Earl Marshal for the Kingdom. He does frequent this board so he might see your post. Starting actually using them lately. God, I am loving them. I took a great sword shot right on the tip of my thumb and the worst I got was a good stinger. Put a little padding in them and you should be allright. I talked to our Earl Marshal before wearing them and he had no problems with them if the...

No, some are going by the old rules. Some are going by the new ones. Some are going by what they were told years ago. Some have not bothered to look at the rules since the caveman days. Some will read and understand them one way and some the other way. Never ending cycle if you ask me. If everyone w...

D. A shield or weapon may be used to displace, deflect, or immobilize an opponent’s shield or weapon, so long as such use does not endanger the safety of the combatants. A shield or haft may be safely placed against the opponent's body to restrict his ability to strike or defend.
