Rhys, interesting idea. I can see where the chances of it getting hit go way down with the pump down around his ankles. Thanks for the 2 cents. Something to think on.

Never doubted someone would wear one on the field. I still think it would be stupid to do so. If they want to, go for it. Your Grace before making comments about knowing more about Diabetes and learning more about insulin pumps before commenting is a bit off base. Not sure what Maeryk's background i...

"Diabetes pump?" Hell, if they are stupid enough to walk on the field with one of those expensive puppies on they deserve to be whacked severely about the head.

The problem is that as long as they are not breaking any rules there is not anything you or I can do about it. Them showing lack of common sense is not something we can control. It sucks that it gets left up to us to make that decision but them are the breaks. Fighting in the SCA is a personal choic...

The one thing you forget is that you have the right not to fight someone. OK, you may be dropped from the tourney for doing so but if you draw someone you know has a condition it becomes your choice if you fight them or not. Otherwise it is a crap shoot. I know alot of fighters in my kingdom but no ...

3/16th will work fine. There will be some overlap of the scales. Are you doing SCA or what, if so look up Centurion Tarquin. He does Japanese stuff and should be able to help you out. He is the regional knight marshal so he should be easy to find. Good luck and it is smooth and shiny side out.

If you feel like wearing Morning Mist wear it. Maybe put a badge or something like that on it. Or have your heraldry on your belt. That way it is always on you when you wear it. I wear what is comfortable and what I feel like that day. My shield has my heraldry on it and I can hang a banner near my ...

Raito, it more of a question of were Sir Morgan should have put his commas. About a year for mine to heal up. As my doctor said " I didn't tear it, I ripped it to shreads." ACL looked like someone had used it for a tie in cable for a tractor pull and it broke. Knuut pretty much hits it on the nose. If you ask for 16 gauge you can anything down to .058 if I remember right. Manufacturers are allowed a certain tolerance. Asking for .062 should get you what you want. Yes they make it that way also without the tolerance. 4 thousandths doesn't sound like much b...

Going to agree with all the above. As long as you use about 1/8" plastic with padding you should be ok. The choice (once it is anounced by the Earl Marshal) of wearing will be yours. Depends on how much you like your arms. Me, myself I will still wear them.
