i read somewhere that suede was first used in the fifteenth century to book covers or mabe it was those hinges on the books but im not shur so dont take my word for it

can anyone help me iam looking for evidence of splinted arms in the mid to late 14c or any time after the 1200 and before 1500 any help would be greatly apritiated
