Chris, as I look at the leg more, I find myself wondering... With the cuisse OVER the knee, unless the knee is really tall, won't the knee "eat up" the dangling leather the first time you bend your knee and then straighten it? Effingham The knee cop is fitted to the leg and the top edge o...

Very cool. Is it just me, or does anyone get a "Rollerball" vibe from those spikes? Just a quick question. The brass trim between the fore finger and the thumb, I've never seen anything like it. What was the inspiration for that? There is a brass casting of a water kelpy going there as we...

I love the interpretation of the fringe. Thanks for sharing. I am wondering how the cuisse, knee and shynbald will attach. Are they seperately attached to the mail, each other or something else? New gauntlets by Kreiger

Here are some progress shots of gauntlets Kreiger is making for me. They are for a 1390-1400's suit we are working on. He has made all sorts of really nice decrotive bits (not in picture) that will finish these off nicely. (There is also a thumb plate missing) Of course they are heat treated 1050 an...

Rowan, The grip on the back of my example is pretty much a "heater" grip, so I'm not sure what grip you think is impractical for SCA fighting. This is also what I meant as far as context. I now understand the limited building experience and materials at your disposal, so I would say you ha...
