Ok, so I was cleaning my workbench out in the shop and found this. m It's laser cut from 16g stainless steel. The little bits of black stuff you see, are leftovers from the adhesive. This is #4 finish (brushed) and when I peeled off the plastic, it left the reside behind. I'm out of acetone, so I ju...

You can use neatsfoot oil. I've used it in the past. Normally, I'll apply it, let it soak in and then wipe off. I'll normally let it sit wrapped in towels to absorb some of the extra oil so that it doesn't rub off. Wax will make a sheath stiffer. I'll use a double boiler type setup and a wax/oil mix...

Jamie, I sent you an email some months back with a scan of some custom lamellar plates I was looking to have made, but I never got a response. I will did up the email and re-send it when I get home. I've used silver, pewter, and aluminum to whomp coins. These were always dies that I made or one of the other moneyers. None of these were overly difficult to strike. For now, I'm only offering the lamellar plates. William, #8 is 3.000 x 1.625, and # 9 is 2.500 x 1.250 inches. I haven't cut any titanium for people yet, the price of just the material alone puts it at least at about $1.50, it not more. Athavulf. There are no dies in laser cutting. A program is generated from a drawing and the machine does it's thing. If you're looking for brass, it can't be cut on CO2 laser. While molten, brass is too reflective in the infrared spectrum and could destroy this type of laser. A YAG laser though, could cut it....

Laser cut lamellar: kozane and bulk orders
Greetings all! There have been a couple changes to the lamellar recently.
