I believe that the BOD outlawed the concept of war crown after HG Aveloc ran the An-Tir war crown. They didn't outlaw it...they just required that if you were going to run anything other than a one on one list you have to get the BoD's permission... Which would be about as likely to be given as...o...

Re: Interesting
*snip* Sometimes, my arm is all that is open. I have no problem when it gets hit and take it readily. then again, I'm not from An Tir. I doubt you will find many here who do not take arm shots. My knight had a response he taught us for folks who didn't like getting hit in the arm: "I was tryin...

There are days when I am an idiot and this may be one of them. JB It is obvious that you are serious, I just do not understand how. If you really believe that the scenario you described where you were on your knees would not have resulted in tramua to you then you really have no idea what a blade wi...

A long time ago, I worked in large scale hog barns. I am a pretty callous guy when it comes to livestock. I do not like to see animals suffer when they are ill. We kept a .22 cal rifle for putting down sick or injured pigs. As many have said here, if your angle is bad, bullets ricochet. My prefered ...

Anyone have any suggestions on how to get a decent result with canvas over a plastic shield? I did a really nice (for me) paint job on my last cnavas and it was torn after three practices. I use plastic since I don't have time to fiddle with stuff and I've been using this same blank since I started ...

Finally came out to a practice...Again
Well after procrastinating for nearly a year I finally came out to a local practice again. New Years goals = one practice per week. 1 down 51 to go. Had a blast. Sir Savaric is a very good knight and teacher. This was the first practice I have EVER attended that focused on drills more than free spar...

It's over 480 miles from me, which puts it farther away than Pennsic for me. That's a helluva haul for a weekend event. A ten-ish hour drive is too far? Man, it is amazing how the Canadian Prairies manage to produce the people they do. Close events used to be 6-8 hour drives. Weekend trips that inv...

I beleive that there were 70 in total, 16 of which were An Tirian. 8 of the An Tirians were knights. Congratulations to Duke Jade for winning again. You would think that 3 of the final 4 in the tourney being An Tirian, that the odds would favor an An Tir victor. At least until you realize that the ...
