No harm no foul Audax. Tasia If I were you, I would go to a set of "lost viking legs" like these: m without the cop. Do a 360 degree wrap cuisse though. Then put the mountain bike shorts under them. Cover them up with some baggy pants and you are more inline with your period. The system of rigid ove...

Audax, Please note: A) I did not go behind you. I said this where you can see it. B) You suggested she get a set of these and "forget about leg armour". In An-Tir, for a new fighter these simply would not be enough, by themselves. (unless they really like lots of deep bruising) I did say they would ...

Boring. Compared to what? Dumb "Wacky Weapons" formats (done to make it more fun)? Bear pit retained wounds? (Dumb, 'cause I didn't earn the advantage I now have over my opponent) etc, etc, etc. Sir, I respect you and your opinion and your inspiration, but frankly many of your short "cryptic" respo...

I have read the manual while in my earlier days. At that time I did try and incorpoarte into my game but quit after a while. Then due to an evolution, I changed my style again and now I think my style bears some resemblance to "oldcastle". Most of my sword starting position is similar. While planed ...

I had been taught to turn my head in anticipation of a face thrust, and had no idea it was considered offensive. I was surprised to read your post. How is this regarded in other areas? I believe you were taught to break the rules. Turning your head from a face thrust is no different than raising yo...

Maybe now, there are more people on the forums, so it might work... but it didn't last long when it was around the first time. In my area it would have to be Kvigr, Sir Ivar the Blacks Squire. Wernar the Wild is right there too, also Squire to Sir Ivar. Good Call Ewan. Kvigr has added a His Highness in front of his name since this thread started and will make an excellent Knight/Count/ Duke of An Tir in the future. That's ...

I fight because I am a violent person. My hobbies allow me to express violence in a manner which does not get me sent to jail. I express affection thru violence. You are my good friend if we can mix it up then afterwards drink Single Malt, Irish Whiskey or home brew (OK a few drink sodas). But I fi...

Frieman, you crossed a line. She's an adult and you need to start respecting that. You knew it would upset her when you started this post, so you should have not written it. The rest of you guys, stop treating her like she's "special". It's condescending and quite apparent she neither needs nor des...

Wow. Lots of good stuff! Allen, the thrust is one of the things that I identified would work on Gunther. In the other fights I got a few thrusts by his guard but missed sticking them. Need to practice my accuracy. Thanks. Animal, your comment is just as valuable as the others... in a different way. ...

Good stuff here folks. Thanks. It will take some time and actual fighting to put some of these into perspective. Corby Sword foot forward isn't a "natural" for me. I was trying some range ideas for feints etc. More questions later. Ieuan After we finish moving you and I can work some on some of thes...

Hi all. Here are the links to some video of my Knight and I fighting. They aren't the greatest and some of the files are very, very large. In An-Tir you have two distinct regions: 1) Eastern An-Tir (Avacal and environs) 2) I5 Kingdom Core 1) Eastern An-tir seems to require less power than core. There are more "Iron Chicken" style heater people in Avacal. Lots of centre grip rounds and lots of vikings. Deep offbody shots and deep wraps ...

HG Gaston may may be the guy you are looking for. I made one of these as well but it needed extra padding to be legal. The head came from Wal-Mart. I bet they still have em. FWIW plane your rattan down under where the mace head will sit and wrap it with a mouse pad before attaching the toy. That sho...

two things i noticed, 1) you fight witha moderatly deep stance, if you shorten it your range will increase as will your movment 2) Why do you fight with your sword behind your head? do you want your oponent to see everythign coming? Actually I'm going to disagree with Frieman here. There are three constants in EVERY martial art. Breathing Range Footwork Savaric was beating you with a combination of Range and Footwork. You two were NOT using the same foot placement, if you notice, when Savaric takes his shot he is right leg for...
