Many years ago after loosing Meridian Crown to Maximilian I presented myself in court and placed my hauberk, sword and 2 sticks of rattan at his feet as victor of the day. His Grace was kind enough to return my arms and armor in return for a vow that I would fight for and with him in the Meridian ar...

Yup, all three suits.

Baring SCA required (hidden) safety equipment and modern materials such as stainless etc. my kit should pass muster.

My SCA kit is my Living History kit.

Greenshield just bought a new hauberk from Master Knuut with the attached coif that he wears under the helm. You can PM him and see how he likes it, if he doesn't see the thread. Uric I have the attached hood and ventail on my knutt hauberk. I have not had any problems with it. I use either a padde...

Or you could go the other way. Early period kits that involve no metal armor other than the helm, such as viking, Irish or even later such as a 13th cent man at arms who only wore a gambeson and a kettle hat (could have my dates off here). These persona's can have very period kit with hidden SCA bit...

Just a quick note:

That sweet Rus helm I'm wearing in the second set of lamallar kit pics was made by Donngal. It's a piece of art.

I find the art of the English language works much better and is understood by more people than code talk IMHO. Code = Lazy in my book.

Though, my lovely wife did enjoy meeting you so if you're ever in the marked to be wife #2 you just let me know. Tasha+3 has a nice ring to it.

I shoot for authenticity. My SCA kit is the same kit I use for LH shows in the states and over seas. The only additions are those required by the SCA. For an early period kit this can be a bit of a challenge but it's all covered and low profile.

Greenshield, did you ever post anything on how you made that sword hilt? Vladimir I didn't make that sword. A good gentle from Gleann Abhann gifted it to me while I was on the throne. Thorthor's Hammer - Another Review

A few days ago someone posted a review for Thorthor's Hammer. Think it was Atzinger.
