Absence of evidence, and evidence of absence are two wholly different things One of the points that Maeryk is trying to make is that when the form of something doesn't exist but the general item does then you can't be sure that form didn't exist. The arguement he is proposing is usually put forward...

i don't know what a button pisser is. SCArk isn't derogatory. I'll admit chiverbator is, but there isn't a word to use for them with a positive connotation. Doug, just exactly what is SCArk ? Whose word is it and what is it used for ? It is a term from Australia which many of us from the chat room ...

Base coinage: Roll 3D6 for an archer, 4D6 for a man-at arms, 10D6 for a gentleman.. I would give each person so many days of wages. At least in two of the instances of such forces gathering from the town I have been studying it would appear as though two men were put in charge of paying the expense...

Used an rust(iron oxide)/oak gal (tanic acid) dye. but just keep much more of a brownish color by keeping more particulates in it instead of letting it get blacker by letting them settle out.

I don't really see many earlier than 1300 people speaking up about showing up. So, right now, Brent's question is sort of hypothetical. Since there hasn't been any expressed interest by folks doing pre-1300 portrayals in attending if I would open it up, I'll stick with the event's original vision o...

Perhaps it was even brought back by the friars sent by Rome in the 13th century. Maybe it was the actual reason for Rome's changing its po...
