The list that Vicky posts is an itinerary of the ideal way to go on a pilgrimage, maybe typical for a pilgrim, my guess is that, as it is for a foreign pilgrimage that the needs are somewhat different for someone doing a local one. Well yes it is for the trip from Venice to the Holy Land. And I agr...

Jorge, you spend entirely too much time with WOR re-enactors. This season I am in the same kit as last but this year I am an archer with a bill instead of a billman. The problem with the Howard list as a source is that he is too upper class as a starting point. I don't think the lower class list is really based off of any specific source. If I find something or when I get done with my project I will make sure Joram knows about it.

14th or 15th Century Travel gear sources

I am looking for a list of gear to be taken with a average man traveling or on campaign in some sort of source. I have one from the 1520s and I think there is one in the 12th century but I was hoping that someone had seen one from the 14th or 15th centuries. Preferably Britain or France or the Low C...

I was going to show you a whole bunch but instead I'm just going to go with two illustrations that show what I would make.

I would go with a base similar to this one but not as large. It is just a simple X base.

And then I would do the top part like this one.

Rope Bed

I found this image in a book years ago and it wasn't on WGA at the time but I just came accross it so I thought I would post it for those of you who have an interest in such things. There are a few other images from the same period of italian art and possibly same artist but this one is the best. m

There was no evidence of Troy til it was found. That actually is not true. There was evidence of it just not physical evidence of it.
