Helmet halves for sale

These are from Cet, and are 13 gauge, not 12. They still held up pretty well, though, even in Atenveldt! Just don't anneal them; they're pretty work hardened from the Big Hammer. There's a high point, a low point with part of the face cut out, a medium point, a round top for later helms and a kid si...

It's 18 gauge. Not up to combat, unless you case-harden it, and I wouldn't use it often if I went that way.

It would be about $18 + insurance, whatever that might be. Pity it won't quite fit into a Priority Mail flatrate small box! I'd have to flatten the cuff some.

Hello, Graf, I found a knuckle lame for the first partial gauntlet. Please see my first post. I also found a knuckle lame matching the other one (a left) but I'm not sure what to do about that one. Maybe the same deal?

Europaisches Helme first edition (book) for sale

Boy, I really hate to let this one go. It's a lot nicer than the later edition I'm keeping. It varies from the later editions by having some different pictures and more pages (413 vs. 314) mostly due to a different format. It has pictures (sometimes more than one), weights, and measurements of 135 h...

Breastplates for sale

I'm clearing out the shop, and here are a couple of things I've had around for years... The little one, a very long time. The big one is a Cet blank that I hand forged triangular edges on. Of very globose form. It would fit someone from 5'10" (1.8 meters) to 6' (1.83 meters) and is 13 1/2"...

It's most likely a geometry problem. I used to take care of problems like this at Pennsic quite frequently; people would come to see me about 'armour clash', bad fit, etc., and I'd suss it out for them. Pauldrons often don't want to go with a cuirass till they are corrected.

The legharness for field harness made for mounted warefare works fine on foot once you get to about 1400 or so (I've read some earlier 14th c. accounts of English men-at-arms, in particular, ditching their legharness to fight on foot). SCAdian poleyns are typically made just plain wrong. They don't ...

Here's a little 'Dating 101', Quansu; it is the date of the PRODUCTION of an effigy that is cardinal, NOT the date of death. A classic example is the famous effigy of the Earl of Warwick who died in 1439. The making of the effigy started about 1453, and the model used for the effigy was probably the...
