Louis when someone who is bi-polar is in a manic phase it's just as an irrational state of mind as someone in a depressive phase. I guess my question would be why? Our helmet rules require 1/4" bar stock. 1/4" spring steel weighs roughly the same as 1/4" mild steel. Formability maybe? Annealed spring steel moves like buttah. Likes buttah I tells ya! You could probably execute a fairly wide range of unusual shap...

Ok, this is a dumb one. How to you apply the compound to the wheel? Casell mentions a rake you prep the surface with, and after that something called "Glu-Tite Greaseless Wheel Prep" that they recommend. Then you put the compound on. My question is...how? Do you spin the wheel up and goop ...

It's for a Chevron station. There are none within 150 miles of my house so it's useless to me.

First response to this thread gets it.

One thing though - there has to be a Chevron station near you. You have to use it yourself. Don't grab it and sell it to someone else, please.

This is my "trainer ring" - the one I made and screwed up. Since it wasn't right I decided to practice everything I need to do on this one first. It has misdrilled holes. And a few spare holes where I used it to calibrate my drilling rig for the next ring. They're plugged up though. But fo...

How about going to Home Depot and buying a couple of those large zinc plated numbers and polishing them down? Scrub the zinc off of them and they'd shine up nice. After that, a single coat of polyurethane would probably do the trick. It'd be nice and smooth and pretty darn rust resistant.
