This is a great example of what "Creative" in the Society for Creative Anachronism should mean. It is based on a real piece, but is a little different per client specs without making it un-realistic as to what they would do. My final analysis as to what is acceptable for what is "period" is this: W...

I believe that if you get good enough your mark will get registered... I understand that Macpherson recently was asked by the Met to 'make his mark' for them so they could record it for posterity. Actually a thought occurs to me... if there was to be a Registry of Modern Armorer's marks, what bette...

Celtic knotwork can be seen before the Viking period and well into it. Thanks, I am glad to hear that, I am going back through m...

Is it a viking you'r wanting to portray? If so I have been told here on the A/A that celtic knotwork did not exist during the time of the vikings. Are you actually looking to tattoo you face?

I forgot to add this. If you do not already have one, this tool is invaluable for cutting nice, clean, straps and belts. m Also, I have found that using latigo leather, is much better for armour straps. It lasts at least 5 times as long, and it is pre-dyed, and it is is impregnated with waxes and o...

speed/quality/price. choose two and you'll almost never get the other. Unless if you're dealing with Lewis Moore... I got a Spangenhelm from him on Ebay, didn't fit... $75... I sent it back to him, he made me a new helmet for free... Paid him an extra $150, he put a full-face aventail on it. Paid $...
