You know, that paint is really tough to get off. I have had some success with "strip-eze" from wal mart on a really hot summer day. If you are willing to paint it, you might try EZ off (the oven cleaner) and some sand paper to make the edge of the decals invisible. f Please tell me there aren't any...

This is a really nice helm, I don't really know what it is about it but it reminds me of something by Frank Frazetta. The progress pics really lets me see more of the detail. Sure would like to see this polished.

I have this. It has taken on a very gruesome appearance in terms of rust by now. The kit is still complete sans gauntlets but with greaves. Well the people at http://www.coscosci.com/patinas/index.htm just told me that it is virtually impossible to get aluminum to take a patina.

Paint or anodization are the only processes that I know of. If you need to anodize I can provide you instructions, but something that size already installed is pretty much out of the question. Turn aluminum different colors? Is there something that can be put on it to make it turn a bluegreen color. We just put up a large aluminum yard light post and want to put some type of patina on it. Any ideas?
