Here is a collar from my "land of lost projects"; please forgive the rust. It is made of 1050 and hardened to a spring temper. It is a bit tall on me, but you will get the idea. If you were going to use a thing like this with the mail standard we have been discussing, you would want to ma...

Remember that for buffers and such slower speed is better. 1750 RMP rather than the 3500 RPM that is more common. Flings things less far as well I use a 80 grit flap wheel for armour surfacing after planishing. Wire wheel for extreme derusting. G, I am still not getting your desire to mechanically s...

What is the function of the pins in the face? There is a pin stopping the upper lame from sliding down on each. The second picture has two.(I think the first does also, but I can't see the lower one.) Anyway, my main question is how does this thing work? It looks articulated, but it looks like its ...

I think I remember that helm. Did you used to practice in the Raleigh area in the mid nineties? Tom has made a few similar helms so I might be wrong. It is possible to make a grill for that helm that will work with a high gorget. Eldred helped me with mine long ago and I am still wearing it. I ended...

Sports places sell athetic pants that are not as thick as sweats with a hemmed pant cuff instead of elastic. I wear those below my hidden leg system and wear linen pants over.

It can certainly be made. It looks like the bolts attach into the holes for the add on handle. What you need though is an angle grinder that does not have a deadman switch, though. They are hard to find. I guess you could rig something but you need a way to turn it off if things go BAD! At 20,000 rp...

German medieval cats with jetpacks from 1584 is simply the BEST. SCIENCE FICTION. EVER. Wow, very varied responses! I dislike single death battles. People can become more stubborn when their only life is on the line. Rez battles tend to lower that stress. Everyone can have fun and experiment with tactics with the only penalty being a walk back to Rez point. I also don't like battles wh...
