Re: A Bedford named Felix
Nope, I'm not Sir Felix. His comments would have been much more insightful. For reference, Sir Johann, we had a great fight at Ymir. I was the lefty in green and blue, with the centergrip. Lucas I remember it well! You killed me. You fought very well. I haven't had that hard of a leftie fight in a ...

Re: A Bedford named Felix
Lucas isn't Felix. Sir Felix is a recently Knighted squire of Michael of Bedford. Both, however, are residents of Ponte Alto (Northern Virginia) in Atlantia. Skutai, also from the area, was simply suggesting that Lucas would have his contact info since they both go to the same practices and hang ou...

Re: New Website on Elizabethan Men's Clothing
Hi John, I included a brief discussion about undergarments in the shirts section. As I understand it, separate undergarments were in the minority for Englishmen, though there are a handful of records of drawers if I recall correctly; I'll see what more I can dig up. Thanks for the input! I am guitl...

Wish they were 60 min from me! We use them a lot at work. The best thing about them is if you order from them by 3PM it will be at your door the next day. I prefer smooth soles, they contribute to good footwork. While I agree that the smooth soles improved my footwork I found that at least at Pennsic where the grass had been so trampled that it is bone dry that I needed a bit of traction on my shoes. I went to a local old school cobbler and had him p...

Our local duct tape rope has evolved some through heavy use testing. We now add some paracord (550) into the center of the roll. It remains cut free with all the advantages of the sticky tape outside.

Another potential problem is the lack of coverage for the underside of the jaw. My Icefalcon helm did not extend far enough under my chin, probably because I have a small face, small jaw, and skinny neck and because the helmet was too big overall. Very true! The worst sound in a shop is the sound of a EZ out breaking off in a blind hole.
Trimming the rattan is a good idea. Wouldn't take more than 1/4" to get enough for a visegrip to grab.

Plane it down and it looks, and works more like a sword than a round stick. That is the reason I have been running mine through a planer for 15 years. It helps me know when I strike flat as well. A round 1 1/4" stick does not behave like a sword. I have never injured anyone inordinately due to...

It would be a great training tool to teach developement of power and delivery. I doubt it would be durable enough for impact on armoured people. Drive it into the edge of a elbow or knee wing and it would be done.
