Re: How to Register a Grievance with the Order of the Laurel

Why do people continue to prepay in full for something that is yet to be fabricated? I am not singling out the OP but we hear about this all the time here on AA. It completely removes any motivation on the part of a troubled craftsman to produce the item. If a fabricator/artist/builder gets in finan...

So, reading around this here fine forum I've noticed that most people (honorable as they are) would take inadverted/unintentional fist blows as good. I told a story in the in the "chew on my fist" thread about a man that took a blow from a gauntlet. I did not consider him honorable for th...

It's way easier to pick up chicks at the renfaire than it is at the celtic festival, therefore late period is obviously superior! LOL! Not that you or I would survive if we attemped to pick up said chicks. I have always had an affinity for late period. I think it started with a book my father had o...

I like the press plate idea for the hinge forming! Bet that sped things up when not forging them. The punch work adds a bunch to the look of those straps. The whole thing is a really nicely done project. Any thoughts on a non modern beer tap assembly? It's the only thing that jumps out at me other t...

To reiterate what Mrks said, buffing wheels are *dangerous*. I too will tell you to wear a face mask. I was wire wheeling a display armature for a Musket for work yesterday and got too low on the wheel and it kicked. Smacked me with a semi sharpened spike...right in the face mask at eye level. If I...
