I noticed at Clinton that your belt sits between two rows of lamallar at your waist, where there doesn't seem to be any plates. Any particular reason? Awesome kit btw, it was good to finally meet you on the field after admiring you gear here on the archive for so long. Thanks! Ya, the plates are se...

In that last pic, what are your clothes made out of? Fabric wise? They look great, but I can't pin down the material. Good question. The tunic was linen with a suede that's not the suede side (I liked the color of the back). The pants were some striped material that came like that... The wraps are....

I had a couple queries for ya too man... Whats your lammelar made of? And did you buy, or make the plates? It looks sweet as hell. Whats below your knees? Wraps and short boots, long boots? Are you just wearing forearm protection, and hidden elbows, or are those some of the sweet bazubands I have s...

Your awesomeness makes me want to change personas. Well done. Love the pelt draped across the shoulders. Are you post-Roman Celt? What are you using for body padding these days? Is there still a gambeson hidden under there? No gambeson, and I don't wear the pelt much anymore. Just a tunic, then cha...

I understand I'm still dancing along the edge of period and not, but I'd like to think things are getting more reasonable. A little thing I put together. Note that I updated the file (dead link), but it's an old file... I've done another evolution picture since then and can't seem to find it. I'll d...

Care to trade anything for one?
It also mentions they're 10lbs... are you sure about that? Seems high to me, though it could just be wishfull thinking.

WTS: Leather Goods (Armor, etc.)
As random as that topic is, I'm looking to make some sales in the next few days so I can go to Sport of Kings. I could realistically deliver at Sport of Kings as well if the order comes soon. Take a look at the bellow link for some things I do a lot of, though I love to do custom orders, tooling, et...

I use the AL viking fittings and a leather mitten gaunt. The key for success with a hilted SCA sword as Sir Lex (Britehelm on AA) has informed me, is to strap it tightly to your hand with a buckle. Honestly, you can't play the same whippy-stick game with it like you can with a plastic hilt and ultr...

Hilt Weight
I have been using a Baldur basket hilt for some time now, which was brought about by my 4 previous steel hilts before that breaking constantly. Lately I've thought of making some mitten gauntlets and adding a brass cross guard and pommel to the sword, and maybe a d-grip for extra knuckle protection....

Clinton War - EMP Tournament Video (Magnus)
Here are a couple of my favorite moments from the alternating EMP / SCA tournament held at Clinton Friday Night. Note that everything done in these videos is legal under EMP rules. Enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cC-JPK5uQ84 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3wQnx3ftMxI

My Lady made the padding for mine. Integral pads made of linen and cotton batting. Holes were drilled in the bazubands and greaves then the pads were sewn in. A pretty awesome and comfortable result!
Heroic, I should do that with my own.

WTT: Leather Armor .... for a period tent?
I need a period tent... anyone need leather armor? Random message of the day.
My Lady continues to see my armor improvements and our lack of a real tent.. or my lack of garb.
Sooo... I need to try and make her happy here... and well.. me.

White Belt Strips (Latigo, very nice) - 1 last piece
The initial amount is gone (92" length). I now have a 2" x 66" piece up for grabs at $30 + $5 shipping, first come first serve. Same price as the 92" pieces because they were so long as a bonus more than anything. Reply that you want this last piece in this thread and it's yours....
