So, how much would you pay for this. The current price is great. Thought I'd post this for you all so you can see. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=300300568921 Pat Marshall It's sad that I have that book but have never had a chance to use it. Armo...

Footwear

Just a quick question regarding period footwear. I want to make myself a pair of viking style shoes or low boots, I have almost completed my first set of proper turnshoes, and realized how long it took to do them, coupled with how destroyed they're going to get. I have a sewing machine, and have a c...

I have to agree, really it makes sense for Arminius to fashion his own looks after the helmets, not vise versa.

Pell Work

May seem like a silly question, but the bottom line is I really don't do pell work. That's not to say that I haven't done some, I have, but I do it so infrequently that I assume it's not doing me much good. I want to change that, but can be quite chaotic and scramble brained. I need structure, and s...

WTT For: Aventail

I'm still looking for a 9mmID flat ring rivetted aventail / camail.

I don't think it needs to be that big, it's just to mount under the occulars on my helm and around the back.

Leatherwork anyone?

Floating Knees - Any Experience?

Adjusting my shovel greaves since I got some legwraps/wicklebangers etc. Ripped the shin off and now I have a single plastic knee, one strap around the back of the knee, then a small "upper" part with a strap (very small, it's an old catchers shin I added a plastic knee to) So I've ripped ...

Anyone know what's going on with Draven? I ordered a set of gauntlets from her last November after seeing several glowing reviews on here. Unless you wanna end up with bodies hacked to pieces you're not gonna have a combat system that is true to real life combat. Can we agree on this? On the same topic as how long is your sword, I'm curious about how big your shield is. I once again understand there will be a lot of variations, but your height, and any other measurements or thoughts you think are prudent to why your shield is as it is are always very handy. Shield Size: 28" ...

Re: ankle length

My typical advice is a sword no longer than to the point of your ankle bone when you are holding it and standing straight. If you are losing your wraps when using a short sword, you have a technique problem with your wrap. One explanation I imagine is related to throwing loopy outside wraps rather ...
