Magnus, I think I would have those pieces in front overlap in the other direction. Otherwise a blade coming in would go right between the leather pieces. It's being designed to cover minimum requirements for cut and thrust. The collar bone is the biggest issue, the side bellow the buckle really has nothing of significance to protect, further out where the collar bone meets the shoulder it does though.
