Too many concussions (12 at last count) and the neurologists have put a big kabosh on my jousting and other full contact activities (which includes hurling, rugby, and full contact WMA) I am still going to teach and those wanting joust lessons, mounted combat instruction, or other WMA classes, we'll...

I wholeheartedly agree - Allan rocks - his armour is excellent - and his communication is by far the best in the business.

We used a Chen gen 2 and gen 3 yesterday for full armoured practice - the swords held up well. I like the Gen 3 because it has a solid pommel. We went at it full speed, full hits and the swords barely showed any blade markings. Not nearly as good as an AA or Albion trainer, but if you don't have 3 o...

Very nice - what gauge metal are they and how much are you planning on selling them for?

Jiri Klepac He has an awesome great bascinet on his site... I have to wonder seeing it if he also was the maker of the one I currently am using to joust. Wonderful look and shape....wow! If you have a rattan pole, or other roundish item and take a pic with the hand holding the pole that would be a great help with seeing how they work. From the front view with the tips of the fingers showing, and a view of the fingers together? Or a lance. Steve, do you have a pair of the milanese g...

You guys would ask that... I know that there is some oatmeal, some very dark blue, and some yellow. I am making a livery coat from some dark forest green I just got and should have enough of that left over for at least one tunic. Basically, I need to get home and go through the closet again. I can m...

Any Interest in XXXL Linen Tunics?

Hi All, Finding that I have a lot of linen that I didn't know I had, I wondered if there would be any interest in XXXL linen tunics? They wouldn't be fancy, but would be made of 100% linen (mostly medium weight). Pricing would be $45 + shipping for machine sewn or $55 + shipping for handsewn. I don'...

I was actually looking at the clamshell version for jousting. Anyone have a pair that could comment? My Moore gaunts work fine for our style of jousting Lloyd. I've worn a pair. They are 16 g. They would work as demis for SCA, but the fingers certainly do not rest on a haft. The biggest issue IMHO is that they glue the glove in rather than stitching it to the lames. Easily fixable, and they may even have stopped doing it that way by now. I think they are ...

Unfortunately, I think that I may have to pass on this. Though the shipping is extremely reasonable, and the helm is dead sexy, the 16ga bevor has me a bit worried.
