You shave your thoroughbred? John Only in the winter... When I was the joust director at the Bristol Renaissance Faire, I was convinced to buy a thoroughbred to use in the show. I rode him a couple of times in practice and then passed him off to Gruber (who loved him for some, undefinable reason). ...

I agree that you are probably thinking of Armstreet. As for contacting Beathan, try PMing here on the Archive. I know that his email s...

Hey Gwen, Headwear - Great idea. Some pilleus (pillbox) hats would be great! While I think the idea of kid's clothes is great, the downside to it (and the reason I doubt that we would ever buy anything for Sarah) is that they grow out of them too fast. I expect my Bockstein tunic to last me years - ...

One of the main "small details" is the acquisition of either "dolphin" or "horsehead" bronze buckles, belt tips, and "propeller" belt fittings. A little goes a long way in making your kit more historically accurate. I just wish that Raymond would do more 5th century Romano-British items, however, Me...

Hi Keval, Many people on the Archive are extremely reluctant to do business with an "unknown" armourer, especially from Eastern Europe. This is because of a couple of unscrupulous individuals that took large orders for armour, took the money, and never delievered the armour. Thus, making it harder f...

Hint strongly to Nicole and Greg that some nice coptic tunics (i.e. 5th century Romano-Briton) would be a great addition to the line

It is less expensive than the CAS Iberia model:

But, I agree the maille is wrong and it was dated to the mid-9th century, for a migration period helm, Mercenary Tailor has a nice one.
