Jay, I lived in Yokosuka for 3 years and have threatened my family with moving us over there. But, alas, I am an equestrian/jousting instructor. Now if you need one of those or want to open Japan's first Medieval/Renaissance Faire - please don't hesitate to give me a call!

Horseshoe nails from Centaur Forge. But I don't remember what I used to mount the poleax other than it was a relatively hefty nail.

Anyone dealt with Ebay LGXFRE?

HERE is his shop. He is selling some of Christopher Poor's armour and some "antique" jousting armour. Other than Chris', he doesn't give an armourer's name or the providence for his antiques. I am just curious if anyone knows who this is or has dealt with them in the past. I am not buying...

When I mounted mine, I drilled holes through the haft and used nails. After trimming off the excess, I peened them to look like rivet heads.

If you are anywhere near a tractor (as in farm) dealer, they usually have them. I have picked them up here in WI at Tractor Supply and Fleet-Farm. Hope that helps.

Al is a great guy and his armour is rock solid. I jousted in a lot of his pieces over the years and never once had any complaints. He is great to work with, you should give him a call. I know that it has been slow around his shop lately.
