Not only helms. A few years ago, my squires were taking my armour off after a joust with Shane Adams, a 22" piece of lance had slid through the arm opening and was lodged between my back and the backplate. Didn't know it was there until it fell and hit the ground when they unstrapped me. Plenty...

All this talk about swords but who would have the advantage when it comes to maces? And all this test cutting with unarmored mats. Lets put some mail or plate on those things and see how effective the blows are. We did that quite a bit a few years back with Chris Last. Allan from Merctailor provide...

Chris,

I have that Windlass Mace with the brass pieces that I would let go for $50. I'll dig in and see what else I can find.

PM replied to for one. I have to check size again on what I wear in an Atlas glove (i.e. I gotta try one on  )

Bump for new FS item and lower prices. I will also be selling a full set of legs, 16ga cuisse, lames and greaves, and 14ga cops. These were 'blued" in the past and there is still a slight blue sheen to the pair. I'll put pictures up when I get home, but they are in great shape and I will be loo...

Hey, LLoyd- Interested in this for SCA use. What are you asking? I think I'd like dibs if this is legal and feasible for SCA use. I think wear a 7 1/2 riding helmet, and I think I have a 23" head- not sure 100%, but pretty sure. Tentative dibs if Patric is out. Thanks! Same size riding helmet ...

OT- 2 Chicago Bears Jerseys FS/Trade

Hi All, I am selling two Chicago Bears jerseys - will consider offers and trade offers: Dick Butkus 50 year Throwback Jesey - XL, very thick cotton jersey, just like the ones worn in the late 60s. Worn a few times and has been in storage since about 1995. Great Condition. Would make a great sweater....

I am also putting coat after coat of epoxy on 15 different shields. I cannot recommend Vitus' ecranche shields for jousting (SCA, Balsa, or even Heavy Armour styles), these things are nearly indestructable. You cant? Why not? That kinda sucks. (I think you're missing an "enough" in there....
