I am working with a production company on a project tentatively titled "Behind the Screen" - the premise is that we take a "historically-based" movie and then show what the clothes, weapons, training and life was of the real life counterpart to the movie characters. So far, I hav...

This guy's videos are interesting. I particularly like the duels, as it allows you to actually scrutinize the fighting style.

Damn, Luke, those are sweet.

Between you and Rod setting the bar kind of high for the rest of us jousters, I guess I am actually going to have to learn to build armour, not just fix it.

Because they take it to the next level. Full armor, full contact, and metal weapons.

Re: GDFB Venetian Sallet and Bevor

What kind of jousting were you doing with it? I'm not sure they would let you compete in the joust of peace in a sallet. It looks like Luke Binks wore an armet with a wrapper, Arne wore a frog mouth, and Toby wore what looks like might be a great bascinet with a bolted on wrapper, although that cou...

Bump - new price $160 + shipping. This includes the padded liner and Jon's incredible (alright, passable) "custom" plumeholder and gorget! I have been told that if you strap the helm's chinstrap under the bevor, and add a strap or lock to the visor, it is SCA compliant. I don't fight SCA, ...

That would be sweet to joust in, but I agree with Sean, the locking pin should be on the right. Too much of a chance of an accidently hit (especially with a lance) on that side.
