I would not try there sport as it does not look fun. Period jousting, someday I pray, looks to be fun. It looks damn scary to be on a horse in a tilt with a skilled opponent. Then again fear is what makes us feel alive at times.

That I could help you with

Joust Training in Wisconsin- CANCELLED

Hi All,

Have to reschedule Saturday's clinic - I have a nasty upper respiratory and sinus infection which not only has knocked me on my butt, but has pretty much taken my ability to speak. I will let everyone know when it is rescheduled.

In the video called Kiev Qualifying 5 it seems that if you just knock your opponent out of the list, they are out of the fight.

No worries, Lufu, in fact, let me know when the next time you get access and I'll haul my butt over there.

We only had 2 months to try and put this together, but if we successful, they want a bigger show next year and we can get on everyone's schedule early!

YMCA MEDIEVAL FAIRE - Wisconsin - any SCA interest

Hi all, This Saturday, we will be holding a small medieval faire fundraiser for the YMCA of Dodge Countyf (Beaver Dam) and we have more space to fill and hoped that some local SCA folks might like to come, set up, do a few demos and recruit. Bridei will be there as will Bob Charron, the Bristol Guil...

I have one that is very similar (not HF) that was advertised as good for cutting up to 14ga mild and 18ga stainless. I have only used it a couple of times so far, but it cuts through 14ga mild pretty smoothly (I am guessing that I will be replacing the blades often). So far, I've been impressed and ...

I use the beeswax, olive oil and ground rosemary (to make my armour smell nice  ) on my kits for years (thanks to my Brother in Arms, Rod Walker) - it does a great job preserving and protecting the steel.

BTW, I visited Perth in 1985 (USS Midway) - I love the area, the people, and the beach!
