Some of what was said of Michael of Boorshaven sounds similar to what I heard of an Eastern Duke (Angus?) including the pawning of the crown jewels. This one apparently got involved in a felony murder or two, and is in a FL prison.

There are something on the order of 200+ SS alloys, so there is a difference in how they would work.

If you are a real man and choose to work SS hot, don't wear gloves. Image

Glendour sold the last of his turbans at Pennsic (I think Templar Bob got one), and wasn't really planning on making another until it was time to get ready for Pennsic again (that is where he finds that they sell...), but has parts for a dress helm cut out. He said he was interested in making bazuba...

Glendour doesn't have a website YET as far as I know. He had a couple at GW's, but I think he sold at least one of them at Pennsic. I mailed him this page, so if he does have one, he should be letting you know.

The color of the steel could be determined by the alloy it was made with. If your ore had nickle in it (like some German sources), your finished product would appear whiter-like some German Maximillian armours.

Try out several different shield that people have of the style you have (round, heater, wankel...). How you strap it will determine, to an extent, how you will fight with it. Mine is a wankel shape, and I have one strap on the forearm near the elbow and two more straps for the hand. These straps are...

Think of a knight as a sort of "Renaissance Man". He doesn't have to be as committed to A&S as a Laurel, or as much service as a Pelican, but he should have to participate a little in each. At the ceremony the Laurel is basically saying "He's not just an ignorant stick jock", the Pelican "He's not j...

Yes. A number of Calontir kings were not knights when they won crown. We have an "open" list to which you generally have to write a letter of intent to enter the list to the Crown. They may deny you entry into the list, and occasionally do.

Most likely it will not want to shape much, if you work it col...

If he was striking an arm that was gone, it would be a kill. Since he was striking a leg repeatedly it sounds like he either wasn't very skilled, or was simply an ass. It is possible for a face thrust to be too light. If you are at extreme range, you may just be able to touch the face, but apply no force to it. If I do this, and I have, I do not expect my opponent to take it. I have told people "Please do not take that, I can do better". If they turn their head to...

It is a good price for a (presumably) Museum Replicas piece. I wish it did not say "SCA" though, because someone might buy it thinking they could fight in it. 16g, not 18g is the minimum for that.

Part of the reason some people take to BS so quick is that it takes less time to gain a reasonable level of proficiency in it.
