Period armorer stamps

Most of the ones I can recall may have initials, but also some sort of symbol, a crown, etc...

Are there regions where monograms were commonly used, such as Albrecht Durer used?

For your amusement, you'll find a similar garment (sleeved) in Piero della Francesca's The Legend of the True Cross: The Battle of Heraclius and Khosrow (shortly after 1452) Look at the guy in red on his knees, center front Francesca'...

Exactly 7,001. Or not. Since you haven't said how long you will be making it, or even how big around (a 30" waist and a 45" waist are going to have different needs), the question doesn't have a lot of meaning. Decide if you want to make one. Buy 5# of wire, make coils, and cut them into rings. Assem...

Pewter can be cast in RTV compounds, but I'm told they will heat up, and soon be too hot to hold. Soapstone does not have that problem, I'm told.

The brightness of a flash is roughly equivalent to daylight... for 1/1000 of a second. It would take a LOT of flashes to actually damage something. 10,000 flashes in a day would be 10 seconds worth of sunlight. I wonder if the number of LED's used for flashes now would change things? I have found that putting the padding in the armor is better than putting the padding on me. I can avoid any extra bulk (elastic bands, etc) in my knees and elbows this way. Plus, it is always there, ready to go. It is also relatively easy to keep it from looking like foam. m The ones labled elbows ...
