Technichally speaking per corpora, the crown MUST offer the candidate the choice, but i've heard they wont offer OC to someone they think will choose a baldric. SO, if you want to be a native meridean MOA, or feel uncomfortable swearing the oath, keep it se...

You might also try stitching a 2nd layer of different coloured leather as edging, Like a red border around black suede. also adding studs might look cool.

Any questions?

If you soak the leather long enough, you can "dish" with your thumbs, to some degree. that's how i put the "dish" in the back of a gorget pattern i have. I'm not terribly sure that you could, say dish a pauldron that way, but for small things, it should work.

Well a cloak makes a passing fair blanket, and I assume if I were on the ground it would work as a sleeping pad.
As to a rain cover, i guess it would depens on what it was made of, but I mean, we use newspaper as raincover.

the question I have is why offer an optional rule in the "master set" at all? These rules are the minimums, and you can add to them as you want. we already have a clause that states that kingdoms may be more strict, but not less, so what's the point? The dancing bit is putting it in the society leve...
