Most people have pronaounced it "pahh" As to how its done, from my understanding, the one unifying factor is a barrier, a type of short fence between the fighters. Generally, a number is chosen, and the combattants fight untill they have landed that many blows (or posssibly thrown that many) OR onr ...

Clay: That's a severe theory question. It is also the basis of ablative armour. Armour serves one purpose: prevent harm to the wearer. To that end, there are 2 fuctions: absorbing impact and deflecting blows. All types of armour do a lil of both. Lammelar armour for example does a lot of the former ...

rough guess: your widest body measure /.75 =# of plates needed for a row EX: 56" chest /.75= 75 plates to make one row TIMES the # of rows: measure of shoulder to waist (or rather hemline of the final garment)/2.25 EX: 25" shoulder to hem / 2.25= 11 rows. 75*11= 825 This will give you a good deal of...

Ever consider a super quench?

From what I understand, you hike it up till red orange then drop it into a witches brew of water, soap, lye, etc.

I'm sure a blacksmith site will have a recipie.

You could assume that the armour loses 20% of its value the first year, and 10% each year thereafter...

No that its valid for any reason, but its a thought.

Sigh...reminds me of a funny story... At the first (and only) Armour archive Gathering, we made a late night run to walmart to buy pillows, and use the bathrooms. It seems there are 2 styles of marshall gague:

one is a flat peice of steel, the other looks like a caltrop.

If I can get a sketch of the flat piece one, I'll do a cad drawing, so that it could be done with a computer driven laser cutter.
