I think the Wisby Backwards-D looks fine as well. I think, though, we may need to tweak the holes a little, perhaps...Though I do notice that, in the overlap image, the plates are overlapping a little more then the actualy location of the bottom-center hole. The overlap was formed by alignin...

Well sorta kreiger... Honestly, Fighting styles will vary based upon body shape and size. Smaller people tend to be able to use smaller shields, Taller people can toss wraps that are outside of the range of thier shorter compatriots. I have no problem thwacking the back of most peoples helmets/ tors...

My plan is to cut the mock-up into three pieces, add 3/4" for seams, and then pin these to my leather while I make the final cut. Dont do this. (the pinning) Tape the pattern to the leather with scotch tape (preferablt trace the pattern onto the leather) Trust me, you want as few holes on the hide ...

I suggested the AOA to KSCA as a relation...mainly for 2 reasons: 1. It is something that we have easy access to data wise. OP's are public. 2. Generally, An AOA tends to mean that you have been active and service minded. (granted there are exceptions) Ideally, one could get a poll of knights, bu ts...

Ok... I guess I should chime in. Chaucess/hosen (i prefer the term hosen, but that's just me) are EASY to make. you will need 1-2 yds of wool fabric (depending on your size). Step one: Measure. Measure the width of your thigh at the point you want the hosen to stop at (*A*).(for me, I chose just bel...

1) Would you purchase books like this, and if so, what price point do you think is reasonable? Possibly. i guess it depends on the actual price. Assuming it is a 150 page paperback, maybe 8 bux? (i havent bought many paperbacks of late) 2) Who would you like to see presented, and why? Hmmm. ...

I assume you mean a scythe.. (a sickle is more like a crescent moon shaped blade on a short handle) You might consider buying one from lehmans non electric hardware (www.lehmans.com) If you have an "american" style blade (the peg on the blade is a round pointed peg) its stock #h728-957 If you have a...

I've got woolen hosen, and i've never been HOT in them, except once in direct open sun (i maintain that i would have been hot if stark naked) Linen feels weird to me in the heat. maybe its because it does...
